Polkirt Hill, Mevagissey, Cornwall

With the Local newspaper recently describing our design as;

“A glass-walled piece of art” we are very proud to achieve Full Planning permission for this cliff top house in Mevagissey.

The curving 3,000sqft dwelling sits on top of the cliff overlooking St Austell Bay with the Historic villages of Mevagissey and Portmellon only a short distance away.

The semi-subterranean 4 bedroom  dwelling sits within the AONB and was granted planning permission at committee following the case officers recommendation for approval.

Atelier 3 compiled the project team of Landscape Architect, Planning Consultant and Cliff Stability Engineers to prepare a robust application which demonstrated a truly integrated design solution for a site that had two previous schemes refused at appeal.

The scheme takes inspiration from coastal fortifications, with a mix of natural stone and white render acting as a link between the cliff and the buildings behind.
