Extension to former Barn Conversion, St Kew

The proposal will provide modern and functional areas that interact with the surrounding garden, creating a sympathetic and contemporary family home. Careful detailing and the use of Local materials such as reclaimed Delabole slate will ensure that the proposal respects the original barn conversion and the surrounding rural Architecture.

As part of the preparation of the Planning submission Atelier 3’s Accredited Energy Assessor prepared a Sap Assessment for the property to assess the current performance against the proposed. The existing property achieved a score of 36 which is an F rating. The proposed scheme as submitted achieved a significantly better score of 90 which is a B rating. This proactive approach has enabled a tailored integration of higher levels of insulation than that would be required by the current Building Regulations.

The scheme has recently gained Full Planning Approval and the project is currently under construction.
