Contemporary Mill and Roundhouse Conversion, Torridge District Council

We were appointed by a private client to convert a historical former mill and roundhouse into bespoke high quality residential dwelling.

The design is sympathetic to the historical mill. The original features of the building are retained; whilst the proposed contemporary extension does not detract against the traditional structure. The extension provides improved living accomodation. A design strategy was adopted not to mimic, imitate nor domesticate the former mill for the change of use.

We believe the cohesion of styles compliments the building and retains the industrious look whilst providing modern living requirements.
